West Swanzey is one of five villages in the Town of Swanzey
Swanzey Lake is a glacier formed, clear water lake. Fed by streams and springs it covers about 117 acres in the southwest corner of the state.

Swanzey Old Home Day
An Annual Event since 1877!
Place: Swanzey Center, New Hampshire
Time: 9am through the day

Swanzey's Old Home Day is one of the oldest in New England, beginning in 1877 as Old Home Day. Prior to that, it was known as Basket Picnic Day.
This year's old Home Day is Sunday, July 16, 2000. Rain or Shine.
Rte. 32, Swanzey Center, N.H. just south of Keene.
Activities: 6th N.H. Civil War Re-enactment, Westmoreland Town Band Concert, the Hobbs Family Trio, Annual Craft Fair, Annual Vintage Stock Car Show-Tractors & Engines, a Great Parade, Swanzey's DJ-John Arnone, Games for the Kids, Potash Bowl Church Service, Firemen's Steak Fry, and the Season Finale of "The Old Homestead" play by Denman Thomspon.
