The World's Largest Pistachio Nut is located just outside of Alamogordo at the entrance to the McGinn Pistachio Tree Ranch. This giant nut is 30 feet high. It has a steel framework and is covered with painted stucco. It was built in 2008 and, as noted in the plaque below, is dedicated to Thomas Michael McGinn (1929-2007) who founded the ranch.
