In December of 1950 the unincorporated Town of Paradise was created. In April of 1951 the Town of Paradise "A" was created, followed by Paradise "B" in January 1952. In October 1953 Paradise "A" was renamed Winchester while Paradise "B" remained Paradise. In August 1973 the Board of County Commissioners created a Citizen's Advisory Council. Adjustments made in March 1976 gave the Town its current boundaries. (taken from this website

According to the latest population estimates (2000), Paradise, Nev. (a Las Vegas suburb); recorded a population of 191,100, the largest unincorporated community (not a legal city) in the United States; larger than Spokane, WA; Providence, RI; Dayton OH; and Orlando, FL

96% of The Las Vegas "Strip" is located within the uinicorporated community

Las Vegas International Airport is also located here

Paradise is one of the most densely populated planning areas in the Las Vegas Valley. It has the largest unincorporated population within the Valley. The Town includes most of "The Strip" and McCarran International Airport. Much of Paradise is developed, but opportunities exist for infill development. Existing land uses in the Town consists of commercial, industrial, multi-family, single-family, and hotel/casinos.
