The Blue Fox Gallery, featuring the works of artist Larry Davis, has opened in Chateaugay.
Located in the former English Apartment House on West Main Street in the Village of Chateaugay, the
gallery is open between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Mr. Davis is a 1970 honors in fine art graduate of Colgate University.
His work has been exhibited in New York City and northern New York
State. Davis has been featured in the Syracuse Post Standard, the
Malone Telegram, the Press-Republican, and most recently, Fox 44 T.V.
produced and aired a video showcasing Davis' work.

2001, January 13Alexander Lesyk, Esq. of Chateaugay has been sponsored for admittance to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. After his induction in Washington, D.C. this spring, he will be able to argue cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. While there are a few attorneys in Franklin County who have been appointed to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the appointment is not common. The New York State Bar Association honored Lesyk in 1993 by naming him one of the two best public defenders in New York State. Lesyk currently argues cases in all levels of state and county court, and several federal jurisdictions.
2000, June 30
Christina and Alex Lesyk are pleased to announce the winner of this year's Crime Victims Rights Scholarship. ANGIE MARTIN, daughter of Bruce and Connie Martin, is this year's winner. Angie is an honors graduate of Chateaugay Central School in Chateaugay, New York and intends to pursue a career in Psychology. The awarding of this unusual annual scholarship recognizes academic achievement (regardless of income), but candidates must intend to enroll in college and enter a career field that has the potential of helping victims of any type of crime. Past winners of this scholarship have expressed intentions to enter law enforcement and environmental law. Congratulations to Angie Martin!
2000, May 25
Christina and Alex Lesyk, local residents and business owners, are spearheading an effort to resolve the issue of hazardous buildings in the Village of Chateaugay. The Lesyk's are requesting that others in the community who are also concerned about this issue to contact the Village Board ASAP to request that they address this issue. Members of the United Methodist Church Youth Group in Chateaugay have begun a major clean-up project of the abandoned cemetery on the east side of the Village. Volunteers and donations welcome. Scholarship Offer
A $ 250.00 Crime Victims Rights Scholarship is again being offered by Alexander and Christina Lesyk to an Honors graduate of Chateaugay Central School to assist in pursuing careers that help victims of crime.
Candidates do NOT have to intend to enter traditional fields that train individuals to help crime victims (ex. law enforcement). Last year's winner, for example, intended to pursue a career in environmental law to assist victims of corporate dumping. No limitations on what the scholarship is to be used for.
