It is also the home of the 8th President of the United States, Martin Van Buren. We are approximately a half-hour's drive from Hyde Park, FDR's home.

Hudson is also known for its many antique shops and auctions.

The Museum, founded in 1925 to preserve engines and firefighting memorabilia, has expanded from 3,900 square feet to over 21,328 square feet. Owned and operated by the Firemen's Association of the State of New York.
