1953, December 26
Frank Moyer who was an active Fireman and machinist in Wampsville, died on 26 December 1953. He was buried in the Wampsville Cemetery. He was my Uncle and was such a handsome man. I believe he took in Margaret Derwin, his sister (daughter of Alice Baldwin and John Moyer, whose husband, Joseph Baptist Derwin, my Grandfather, died a horrible death, leaving her with seven very young children - a real housefull. He is a real hero to me!
I visited him when I was a child and have several pictures and some documents, I treasure these and wish I had more. I did a short story on him to pass on to my family's children.
