The birthplace and boyhood home of William Taft, the 27th president of the United States. He was also the 10th chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. The home is in the Greek Revival style and is built of brick. Four rooms are furnished to reflect the life of Taft. Other rooms are devoted to other aspects of the family and his public career.

See this example of Federal architecture built in 1820. There are 12 rooms of displays and exhibits including portraits and landscapes by Rembrandt, Corot, Gainsborough, Turner and Whistler. Many other items may be seen also. The outside grounds include a formal garden. Guided tours are available.
