3387 acres of water for swimmers,
boaters, skiers and anglers.
Alum Creek's large reservoir and gently rolling span of fields and woodlands
provides a hub of recreational activity just minutes from Columbus. Quiet coves
nestled among shale cliffs await the solitary fisherman in the park's northern
reaches while sunseekers mingle with thousands on Ohio's largest inland beach.

Exhibits, Gallery Shop, Horizon Music Series, Castle Arts Affair. Home of the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center, overlooking the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University. This center was built from local limestone and is used for not only the exhibits, but also for receptions, classes and more.
History of the Castle: The Delaware County Cultural Arts Center is housed in a 151 year-old "castle" which is one of the landmarks of Delaware's rich history. The castle was built in 1846 by William Little as a wedding present to his daughter and his business partner, George Campbell. Built out of stone from the Blue Limestone Quarry, the castle had greenhouses on its front lot and along Central Avenue, and it was in these greenhouses that the famous Delaware Grape was produced. Sitting majestically on the front lawn is a 147 year-old gingko tree which George Campbell brought back from a trip to China. Around the turn of the century, the castle became a center for the study of art as the Lyon Art Hall of Ohio Wesleyan University. The castle was privately owned from the late 1960's through the 1980's, when it was purchased by the Board of Trustees of the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center. The arts have been brought back to life in this fascinating home where the community gathers to seek something more to enrich their lives. The magic of the castle is found in the wonder-filled experiences that seem to happen to those who participate in activities within the castle. More than 10,000 individuals, from throughout Delaware county and the surrounding area, participate in the Arts Center's activities each year. (History from the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center)
