Hanging Rock Historical Events 1866, November
I have been told that my gggrandfather, George Willis, was murdered on his farm in November 1866. I believe he was 24 years old at the time of his death. Allegedly (3) men rode up on his property and shot him to death. the (3) were caught and (2) were hanged
and (1) hanged himself in the jail. I am told that he had been discharged from the army a short time before.
