History & History Related Items Marshallville history: Marshallville was founded by James Marshall in 1817. It was originally platted and named Bristol, but the village was incorporated in 1865 and became Marshallville. Marshallville attractions: Village is part of the Greene Local School District. Students attend Marshallville Elementary through 4th grade and Greene Middle School and Smithville High School from 5th grade through 12th. Utilities provided: water, sewer, and electricity through Marshallville Municipal Utilities. Natural gas provided by Dominion East Ohio Gas. Large village park with two ball diamonds, three pavillions, restrooms, and playground. Park season is April 15 to Labor Day. Primary business is agriculture related. Largest businesses Marshallville Meats, Equity Exchange Co., Howmar Carpet, Nancy's Draperies. Return to Index
