Just a bit of trivia about Murray City
My Mother's name is Florence Corwin, her maiden name was Martin. Her parents were Minne and Roy (Darby) Martin. I was told that my grandfather Darby was the mayor of Murray City in the early 40's. I was named after him (Darby). They lived in Salem Hollow, Jobes, and Pittsburg Hollow during my mothers early days. She went to Murray City High School and is believed to be the last of the living of her graduating class, Her older brother Gearld also graduated from the High School, Gearld is deceased now. I remember visiting my grandparents when they lived in Murray City. At that time, they lived upstairs above a store of some type in the north end of town on the main street.
