Attractions
Pataskala was the home of Christopher Widner. A four sport letterman at nearby Watkins Memorial High School, he attended Marietta College. He subsequently moved to San Francisco where he earned recognition as Master Carpenter. He won honors for his work In Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. He returned to Pataskala where he continued his carpentry work and provided community service through the Sukyo Mahikari organization. He tragically lost his life, at age 45, in a traffic accident just south of Pataskala on January 19, 1999.
Alan Grundy - the British-born composer, now calls Pataskala his home. He is an ASCAP writer of classical music on the fresh records label. His first release, entitled, "Beyond Manchester," has now collected four coveted writer's awards. His second album, "London Chronicles," has been released in both Great Britain and the USA.
