IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
Classes began Jan 10, 2000 at the Education Service Center - 1100 Jennings, Bartlesville
If you like to help other people, and you're interested in learning about taxes and how to
prepare basic federal and state income tax returns, the IRS wants to hear from you.
The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is gearing up for its 30th year of providing freetax help to the public. Beginning-level income tax classes will be presented at no cost to those who volunteer for the VITA program. VITA offers free tax assistance and tax return preparation for people with lower incomes, people with disabilities, non-English-speaking, and older persons. Those who successfully complete the class or self-study material will be certified to provide free tax help during the upcoming "tax filing season". If you are interested in becoming a VITA volunteer or would like more information contact the IRS in Oklahoma City at 405-297-4125 or visit the Enid IRS office at 301 West
