Earlsboro attractions: Earlsboro has two schools, right next to each other. The elementary school has from pre-k to 6th grade, and the high school has from 7th to 12th. This year, 2001, we had the largest graduating class in a while, which was only 23. The only library in the city is the school library in the elementary building, which is only open to students and teachers. We have a kwick stop right on the edge of town, on Highway 9. There is also a small store, which also sells animal feed, called J&J's. It is owned by a local family (the Mize's), and has been there for quite a long time. We have two restaurant type places: Long Ears Cafe, and Tapps. There are about 3 churches, a post office, a telephone company, and a water company. We have a fire department which is in the same building as the city hall. There was a big oil boom back in the oil boom days which made the town pretty busy. However, after the boom, the city just got smaller and smaller. Return to Index
