Pittman Family of Elk City, Oklahoma
My name is Peggy Jeanette Pittman. I was born in Elk City, Oklahoma in 1928. My father was Theodore Roosevelt Pittman. He had his own automotive repair shop. "Ted's Garage". My mother was Geraldine Pittman and my grandmother was Lincie Jane Pittman. My sister was born in 1931 and her name was Barbara Pittman. We belonged to the Christian Church. Our last home was on 6th St. There were many memories for us when we moved away (my grandmother spent all of her life there). One of the memories was in school when they had the circus. All of the children in the school played a part in the circus. I was a cowgirl playing an accordion.
