Attractions
Jay is the huckleberry capital of the world, and has been for
some time. Every year in the summer, there is a Huckleberry
Festival, where everything huckleberry is sold. There are
huckleberry pies, shakes, fresh huckleberries sold by the gallon,
and several landowners in Delaware County hand-pick and sell the
huckleberries to local businesses, usually for around $ 30 a
gallon. The carnival also comes to town around this time of
year, and it always turns out to be quite a cheery festival.
