Red Rock Historical Events Late 1890's
Both of my parents families had taken part in the run into
Oklahoma with my mother's family, the Orrs, acquiring a homestead near Red Rock, OK and ,sometime later, one by Frederick OK. My father's family had acquired one just across the Oklahoma line near Hunnewell,
KS. They had lived in Kansas right across the line from where
they acquired the farm in the run. While mother was living at Red
Rock, she visited the Miller 101 ranch outside of Ponca City on
many occasions as one to the Miller boys was dating one of her
girl friends there in Red Rock.
