Attractions
Ft. Gibson Lake is located as close as 3 miles east of Wagoner. One can find 26 parks and recreational areas on the water. Eight marinas with concessions, lake cabins, on the water dining and boat docks make it easy to enjoy the lake. The lake is filled with black bass, white bass & catfish. It even has heated docks for winter crappie fishing. If you love boating, water skiing, sailing, canoeing or swimming, one will find the 26-mile long lake an excellent playground. All types of boats, ski rigs, party barges & other accessories are available to rent. Two state parks are located along the shoreline of Ft. Gibson Lake; Sequoyah State Park located on State Highway 51 east of Wagoner and Sequoyah Bay State Park located off of State Highway 16 south of Wagoner.

William Henry Rountree and Belle Brewer were married in Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1910. Two girls born, both died in infancy.
