Born- October 13, 1948 in Donora, Pennsylvania
Stop Child Abuse since 1975 from Donora, PA. and Portland, Oregon. A little boy and his twin sister severely tormented from abuse for 18 years. Their brother and sister were NOT abused and the parents were NOT abused when they were children.
As a precious little boy he came close to death twice, but Paul McLaughlin survived, and has been a tireless crusader for the rights of children and against child abuse.At the age of 4, Paul was placed on top of hot stove. Clothes removed and he was beaten with a belt/stick!. Enema treatments which you don’t want to know about. Force-fed bars of soap, hot pepper, stool, vomit. Stand in corner for long hours. Scalp and face with many scars from being beaten with a stick and school teachers never ask questions about it. The list of severe abuse goes on. Abused almost daily. Placed in two foster homes in Donora area and returned to the parents where the abused continues. THE MOTHER ABUSED THE CHILDREN (twins), NOT THE FATHER. Paul and Paula survived.
The boy almost died twice and survived to become a One-Man Crusader on Child Abuse. Since 1975, Paul has told his story on 7 talk radio program, 2 magazines, many newspaper articles, television commercial, 10 Forums and child abuse symposiums in Washington and Oregon with those who specialize in Child Abuse. He has traveled over 60,000 miles across the country, one way. This includes 2 trips to Washington, DC when Nixon and Carter were President.
Paul graduated from Donora High School (PA) in 1970 at the age of 21,Special Education, slow learner. Paul graduated along with Ken Griffey, Sr. Many made fun of Paul’s work. Now he helps and educates others about child abuse.
Paul volunteers his time with other childrens non-profit programs with fund raising for the homeless, hungry, crippled children, cancer, Christmas project, child abuse.
Paul began his life’s work in his home town in Donora, Pennsylvania. Today he and his wife Liz live in Portland/Eugene, Oregon where they continue to fight for the right of children everywhere to live from fear and abuse.
Two years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Two years in New Jersey.
Fourteen years in Tacoma; Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon.
Since 1989-Salem; Springfield; Eugene, Oregon
March 23, 2048 this story will be told again in Oregon. Story in a timecapsule.

Paul McLaughlin would like for his story to continue after his death and to be continued as long as there is a Donora, Pennsylvania. If there is any way for this to be done, please do so. Help me to keep this story in the Donora area. Help me to educate others about my childhood life. There should be someone who can do this for me.Since 1975, I not given up to save our children and now that my life is about to end, I would like for this story to continue.

S.C.A.N. is a voice on behalf of Pennsylvania, Washington, and Oregon's children. An advocate for children and families in the legislature, the media, and in local communities.

Stop Child Abuse Now is a nonprofit organization dedicated to stopping child abuse of all forms, and improving the lives of survivors of all types of abuse and loss.

By speaking out about abuse, we increase the public's awareness of the prevalence of abuse. Our voices break the silence which causes so much pain. When we speak out, we help save the lives abused children, and we also help many adult survivors name the source of chaos in their lives. Through awareness and education, survivors can regain control over their lives, learn healthy assertiveness, learn to develop boundaries and prevent re-victimization.

Our goal is to join with other organizations and individuals who wish to ultimately put a stop to child abuse! We are speaking out for for the children who have no voice, who have no choice and who have no way of stopping the violence! We are stepping stones to help, and we are trying to wake up the world! .
