Upper Darby Township information:
The township of Upper Darby has about 120,000 population. In 1980 the population was 84,054 and in 1990 - 81,177. It was formed on 30 August 1736 from Darby Township. The area was first settled in 1688. It has about 7.62 square miles. The elevation in the Township ranges from 60 to 260 feet above sea level.

Children of Drexel Hill attend public schools in the Upper Darby School District. Parochial Schools in the area are served by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
