Thomas Brownlees place at Todds Bank on Standing Hill
Robert John Stoker Campbell a coal miner in England came to Enon Valley to work in the coal mine with his father who had moved here in 1864. He kept a diary of his journey from England including the costs, ie:-train fare from Boston to Pittsburgh $71,luggage $5&60cents,Pittsburgh to Enon Valley $6&40 cents luggage $2,and from Enon Valley to Todds Bank $2. While they lived here his daughter, my great-grandmother was born 24 Aug 1875. Robert and his new family moved back to England but his father and brothers and sisters stayed over there and married. Their descendants still live there. Stephen Campbell opened a paper mill in Baltimore and the family is still there.
