Hop Bottom/Foster Station Commemorative Stamp
sponsored by: Hop Bottom/Foster Station Commemorative Committee A special event was held in Hop Bottom called "Remembering Foster Station." Foster Station was a DL&W railroad depot located in Hop Bottom in the late 1800' early 1900's. The United States Postal Service issued a new All Aboard stamp on 8/26/99 and in Hop Bottom on 8/27/99 they had a special cancellation. The special cancellation will be available until 9/26/99. Anyone can send a stamped card or envelope addressed to themselves or others inside a larger envelope to the Postmaster Hop Bottom PA 18824-9998. It will be canceled with the "Remembering Foster Station" postmark and returned by mail to the addressee. There is no charge for the postmark. All requests must be postmarked no later than 9/26/99.
