History & History Related Items Indiana history: Jimmy Stewart's father, Alex Stewart, had a hardware store located on the main street of town - Philadelphia St. Every year the town celebrates, "It's a Wonderful Life", from the movie of the same name. There is a Jimmy Stewart Museum located on Philadelophia St. almost directly across from where the hardware store was located. There is a statue of Jimmy located on the grounds of the courthouse.
