The Library was founded in 1968 by Ralph M. Eccles and his sister, Margaret Lesher. The Library serves the boroughs of Rimersburg, Sligo, East Brady and the townships of Madison, Toby, Piney and Brady. There are 7 computer workstations with Internet access for the public.
We have 22,000 books for children, young adults, and adults. The collection also includes books on tape, videos, magazines, newspapers, microfilms of local newspapers and the census. The library also has several local family histories and database of local cemeteries. Our collection is on the web site for the public to view.

The Board of Trustees meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. The president is Sally Mortimer, Vice president are Dorothy Holly and Pat Mortimer. Treasurer is Don Hiwiller. Secretary is Roger Crick.
The Friends of the Library's President is Barb Priester and the Secretary is Theresa Gaggini. The group meets several times a year and membership is $ 3/adult or $ 5/Family.
The Eccles Foundation supports the library through Operating Grants and Special Grants. The Library is a member of the Clarion County Library System and the Oil Creek District Library.
