History & History Related Items Yoe history: Yoe was originally called Snydersville. It was the home of a tobacco plant. The name was changed when requested due to another Snydersville registered with a zip code. It was decided to name the town after the founder's wife's maiden name of Yohe, but they decided to leave out the "h" as it would cause less trouble for pronunciation. The town had its own baseball team in early 1900's. The actual name is Yoe Borough. The town pays the State Police to patrol the area. The town conducts its voting in the Yoe firehall where all the resident's of Yoe must vote.
