Need info on James Bulter Bonham

I am doing research on James Bulter Bonham, who was born and raised in Edgefield County, Red Bank area. He later died at the Alamo as a real hero along with William Barrett Travis, also of Edgefield county.
Where and who might I contact to learn what research materials might be available to me in my research? Thank you in advance for any consideration.
Best wishes,
Don Walker
