Arlington was first incorporated in 1878 as Haysville. In 1883, the town's name was changed to Arlington. It was then incorporated once more in 1900 as Arlington. Today, Arlington's center still boasts vintage homes dating back to the 1870s. Originally an agricultural community, Arlington established an industrial park in 1964 which is home to many businesses including Wright Medical Technology, the world's largest producer of small orthopedic implants.
