History & History Related Items

Settlers first arrived here in the mid-1800's. The first school was established in 1861 by Milton Moore. Later, around 1870, a general store was opened by Weldon Bobo. Bobo and other residents decided to name their little town Bedford after the county where many of them had lived before coming here.
