Bronte Community Events May each yearFort Chadbourne Days
is our Annual Living History Event to be held at Historic Fort Chadbourne located 12 miles north of Bronte, TX on Hwy 277. The fort was established October 28, 1852 by companies A & K of the Eighth United States Infantry. Fort Chadbourne is one of eight frontier forts located in the Texas Forts Trail Region. A fun-filled day of activities will include:
Cavalry and Infantry drills with re-enactors in full uniform, buffalo tours, re-enactor camps, cattle working demonstrations, entertainment, fort tours, vendors, etc.
May 16th is open to area schools and May 17th is for the general public.
