The Texas state capital is Austin.
The population of Center Point is approximately 1,000 (1990).


mid way between Kerrville (county seat) 10 miles to the NW and Comfort 9 miles to the SE. And between Fredericksburg 22 miles to the NE and Bandera 22 miles to the S.

Originally chartered as Zanzenburg after the owner of a grist mill on the Guadalupe river.Used as a stopping point for the stage coach between the four cities surrounding it.

The Lion's Park on the Guadalupe river that travels along the northern border of Center Point.

Center Point, TX is the hometown of cowboy cartoonist JP Rankin "The Cartoon Cowboy", his work appears in such publications as Western Horseman Magazine,Cowboy Sports and Entertainment and American Cowboy Magazine as well as numerous other journals and publications. JP has been a professional cartoonist and caricature artist for the past 10 years and has traveled all over the United States and has also entertained in Holland, he grew up in Center Point and returned there in 1994 to make it his home and raise his children.
