Crockett history:

Founded in 1836, Crockett is the 5th oldest city in Texas.
The land was donated by A.E.Gossett, and then was named for his friend, Davy Crockett, who camped in area on the way to the Alamo. There are numerous historical homes in city, dating from the 1830s
