Encinal Elementary school is a small school serving Encinal, Texas and the surrounding environs of southern La Salle County, Texas. Local students attend this school through grade 5, after which they are bussed to schools in Cotulla, the county seat. There are less than 100 students currently enrolled in the school. Efforts are currently underway to provide classrooms for 5th grade students and to renovate the Ruth Carr Memorial School building, an old school used in Encinal up until the 1980's. It will hopefully be turned into a Community Arts Center.
Elvia De La Garza is principal. (1999)
Teresa Adams is secretary (1999)
