Hart Community News

My name is Byron Hyde, I am a physician in Ottawa Canada. In 1865, at thedeath of his only son, my great-grandfather, Ephriam Stratford, moved fromRussell County Alabama to Hart Texas. He was born in 1798 and so he wouldhave been 67. He left with his young wife, who was from Hanover Germany, andhe had with him a son from an earlier marriage who may have been crippled.Any source material? I know he probably lived in Hart for some time thoughthe name Stratford across the border in Oklahoma has always made mecurious. Are there any Stratfords in Hart? Byron Hyde
