Hudson history:

A newer community which was created as a suburb for Lufkin during the 1960's. It was incorporated in the late 1960's. It remains mostly a residential town. In 1980, the population was just 695 people. But, after rapid growth, the 1990 census reported at least 2,374 residents in town.
