Tours are also available.
First Weekend after Thanksgiving each yearDickens of a Christmasthe McKinney Downtown Association presents "Dickens of a Christmas." This celebration of McKinney's Victorian period introduces the first full shopping weekend of the Christmas season. Windows are decorated in a seasonal theme and the merchants are garbed in the costumes of Dickens' London. The weekend after "Dickens" is the Heritage Guild's annual "Christmas Tour of Homes." Five to seven of the historic homes around the city are open to visitors.
