Rocky Mound Community News Can Anyone Help?
One of the original land owners of approximately 1000 acres, which was divided among a person I will call my Great, great, great, great Uncle Gilbert Harris of the 1696 era. Now Uncle Gilbert had relations after him, Lee, Claude, Jethro, Leuviena, Alphonso to name a few. What I am trying to find out is who actually now has the rights to the, now, approximately 117.3 acres. All the previous relatives are dead. Jethro had children which are now in their late to early fifties. I am a cousin to Uncle Jethro's kids and we are trying to find out what happened along the way. This land now, from what I understand, is being excavated, someone has received the royalties of the minerals and the oil that was once this land. We also would like to find out who gave the approval for anyone to take the wood from the forest of the property. I will end for right now, in hopes that someone there in Pittsburg via Rocky Mound district can assist me and my and my cousins. I live in California and my other relatives live in Indiana
