Range Creek Exhibit
The Range Creek Exhibit will be showing at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum for one year. The Exhibit will open March 10, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. with a reception, Family oriented, hands on activities, a film and talks by Dr. Duncan Metcalfe and Waldo Wilcox. A question and answer period to follow.

Range Creek is the pristine site of artifacts and history of the Fremont Indians, recently purchased by various agencies of the State of Utah, from Waldo Wilcox, of Green River, Utah.

Leon and Judy Jones, The Utah Humanities Council of Utah, SITLA/University of Utah, and Chevron Texaco are funding this exhibit. Their generosity is greatly appreciated.

The Department of Natural Resources is leading a consortium of agencies and educational partners to develop a management plan to care for this important place. Those agencies and educational partners are: Utah Department of Natural Resources; Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands; Division of Wildlife Resources; University of Utah; Utah Division of Indian Affairs; Utah Division of State History; Bureau of Land Management; Utah Department of Food and Agriculture; State Institutional Trust Lands Administration.
