A Wind Farm is being built in Spanish Fork Canyon
The energy produced should supply about 74% of the Energy needs in Spanish Fork!

The turbines are over 290 feet tall. Each of the three blades are 145 feet long and are made of fiberglass
It is called the Spanish Fork Wind Project
We saw them as we drove into Spanish Fork Canyon and were amazed at their size

Spanish Fork even has a special Wind Fest held in August each year
The festival has lots of fun activities including a popular childrens kite making workshop
The Energy Expo is held at the Wind Fest with many vendors showing their green products
