Hampton, Virginia Historical Events

NBA phenomenon Allen Iverson from the 76er's was born and raised in Hampton, VA. Allen Iverson attended Bethel High School where he was a starting guard on the basketball team and a starting quarterback for the school's football team. Iverson eventually went on to play college basketball for the Georgetown Hoyas in which he completed 2 years and then went on to the NBA as the first pick overall.
