Chamber of Commerce.
The home of Reverend Peter Muhlenberg, who marched his 8th Virginia Regiment from church into the Revolutionary War. As they left, he was heard to shout, "There's a time to pray and a time to fight!"
The town was chartered in 1761 sponsored by George Washington. The stone courthouse built in 1795 is the oldest one still in use west of the Blue Ridge.
