The climate for Cashmere is seasonal with four distinct seasons. History & History Related Items Cashmere history: A Catholic mission was established here in 1873, from which the town began. The settlement was known as "Mission" for obvious reasons. Later, in 1904, it was found there was another community in Washington with the name of Mission, so the name of Cashmere was suggested by James H.
