In the past it has been dry crops, wheat, corn, potatoes and sugar beets. Currently the main stay is that of apple orchards. Thousands of acres of apple trees have been planted over the past few years.

July - 2nd Friday-Sunday each year
Community Days celebration starts the second Friday of July and goes through Sunday. BBQ dinner, talent show, parade, fun in the park, gymkanna horse competition, and golf tournament.
