History & History Related Items

I believe Bangor was founded by members of my family during the 19th century, though I have no idea as to details. My father, Sir Huw Wheldon, who later ran the British Broadcasting Corporation, visited the town in the Fifties and found it full of namesakes. I wonder if this is still the case? The original Bangor is of course in the county of Gwynedd in Wales. Submitted by Wynn Wheldon
