Eland, Wisconsin is a historical Railroad hub, with the raillines up into the Upper Michigan area being built in the early 1880's. The LakeShore and Western RR built into the Antigo area in 1880. From there thetracks were laid all the way north to Wtersmeet, Michigan. There is a museumin the railroad station in Eland.
