History & History Related Items Jackson history: The Village of Jackson was founded in the 1870's by a German immigrant by the name of Frank Reis, and later incorporated in 1912. Return to Index Jackson attractions: Jackson has two lakes, one of which lies in the village limits, Hasmer Lake and the other Tillie Lake which is on the edge of the village limits. Both of the lakes are approximately 10 acres in size. Also a small river goes through the village, Cedar Creek, which runs through the South-East edge of the village.
