The Village Hall is open from 8 am to 12 noon and from 1 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Clerk's office is open during the lunch hour.

Mount Pleasant is governed by a village board (President and six Trustees) elected to their positions on an at-large, part-time basis and who serve two-year staggered terms. The Board is responsible for formulating and acting on the general policies that guide its operations. In addition, the Administrator serves as chief operating officer, managing day-to-day activities and administering the policies set forth by the Board. Numerous commissions and committees, composed of civic-minded residents and business leaders who volunteer their time and expertise, study issues of interest and make recommendations to the Board.
