Camarillo history:

Camarillo enjoys a Mediterranean climate often described as one of the most ideal on earth. It is in the Pleasant Valley portion of the Oxnard Plain. It is 45 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Both the Ventura Freeway and U.S. 101 come through Camarillo. Active citizen participation has assured an excellent, smoothly functioning school system, a responsive local government and many cultural and youth-oriented activities. An agricultural preserve program, cultural Heritage Zone policy and annual events seek to carry on the attractive rural setting and California lifestyle.
