Gamble Mansion and Judah P. Benjamin Confederate Memorial State Historic Site

A 3,500 acre sugar plantation in the mid-1800's, the mansion is restored and furnished in period antiques. Confederate official, Judah P. Benjamin, hid here before his escape to London at the end of the Civil War.
