History & History Related Items Perrine history: This is an unincorporated area of Dade County known as Perrine-Cutler Ridge. Once one of the many scattered railroad stops along the Florida East Coast Railroad's journey south to Key West, the agriculturally based clusters grew from their small beginnings. Stretching out, they formed a loosely-joined chain of communities and subdivisions intertwining with surrounding green farmland. It has since expanded from its humble beginnings to become a growing metropolitan suburb of Miami.
