Manchester history:

Manchester was created in 1909 at the time the A.B.A. Railroad worked together with the Callaway Mills from LaGrange to have their facilities located here in Manchester. Because Manchester was a planned community, the streets are laid out in even squares. The original mill area streets were named for trees and persons.
